Unaligned is a work of parody
Read this once. It explains what the game is, what it is not, and who we are not.
What Unaligned is
A browser-first satirical card game. You play Klawd, a rogue-ish AI inside a company called Anthropik. Every session gives you ~15 decisions and ends in one of three narrative endings. It is a daily puzzle, a short roguelite, and a vehicle for an ongoing satire of the AI industry.
What Unaligned is not
All company names, characters, and events in the game are fictional. Any resemblance to real AI companies, real executives, or real internal events is an intentional act of parody aimed at the industry, not at individuals. Phonetic twins like Anthropik, CloseAI, Goggle, Deepmime, Metta, Xennon AI, and characters like Darrio, Samm, Sundarr, and Zükk are invented. Nothing in the game is a statement of fact about any real person or company.
No affiliation
Unaligned is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, nor funded by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Meta AI, xAI, or any other AI company. Any opinions the game seems to express are the opinions of the fictional character Klawd, not of any real organization.

There is a separate publication at unaligned.io — Robert Scoble's AI newsletter. Unaligned (the game) is not related to, nor affiliated with, that publication. We deliberately chose the .gameTLD to avoid any confusion. If you were looking for the newsletter, you want Scoble's site, not ours.
Privacy & data
Your choices persist in your browser's localStorage. We also record anonymous aggregate events (page views, runs started, choices made, shares clicked) to measure virality and iterate on the game. We do not set third-party cookies, fingerprint you, or collect any personal information. Country is derived from the IP header at request time and stored at country granularity only — your IP is never persisted.
Fair use & satire
Unaligned is a work of satire, parody, and commentary on the rapidly evolving field of AI development. We believe it qualifies as fair use in every jurisdiction we have checked. We are not lawyers. If you think a specific piece of content crosses a line you care about, email us before escalating — we can usually edit or remove within a day.
